CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the metal grease
fi
lters
WARNING:
RISK OF FIRE
Grease deposits in the grease
fi
lters can ignite.
Clean the grease
fi
lters at least every two months,
or as frequently as necessary.
Never operate the appliance without the grease
fi
lters.
WARNING:
Do not reach inside the hood, there can be
sharp points and hidden edges.
NOTES
• Do not use any aggressive, acidic or alkaline cleaning
agents.
• When cleaning the metal grease
fi
lters, also clean the metal
grease
fi
lter holder in the appliance with a moist cloth.
• You can clean the metal grease
fi
lters in a dishwasher or by
hand.
Uninstalling metal grease
fi
lters
1. For each
fi
lter, open the latch and fold down the metal
grease
fi
lter. Simultaneously use your other hand to grasp
under the metal grease
fi
lter.
2. Remove the metal grease
fi
lter from its mounting.
NOTES
• Grease can gather in the bottom of the metal grease
fi
lters.
• Hold metal grease
fi
lters horizontally to prevent grease from
dripping.
3. Clean metal grease
fi
lters.
By hand:
NOTE:
You can use a special grease solvent if soiling is
stubborn. You can order it via the online shop.
• Soak the metal grease
fi
lters in hot soapy solution.
• Use a brush for cleaning and then rinse the
fi
lters well.
• Allow the metal grease
fi
lters to drip dry.
In the dishwasher:
NOTE:
Slight discoloration is possible when cleaning the
grease
fi
lters in the dishwasher. This does not affect the
metal grease
fi
lter’s functioning.
• Do not clean extremely dirty metal grease
fi
lters with
dishes.
• Loosely position the metal grease
fi
lter in the dishwasher.
The metal grease
fi
lters must not be jammed in.
Reinstalling metal grease
fi
lters
1. Insert each metal grease
fi
lter and simultaneously use your
other hand to grasp under the metal grease
fi
lter.
2. Flip metal grease
fi
lter up and snap the latch into place.
