Using Service Walk Test
The Service Walk Test function is only
available in the Service Menu for
D9412GV3/D9412GV2 control panels. If
the control panel model is
D7212GV3/D7212GV2, you must enable
the Service Walk Test on the Function list
for the keypad through the control panel’s
programming.
1.
When the display shows
### points remain to
be tested
you can begin. (### is the number of
points).
If you know the point number, you can
enter it by pressing its number button and
then the
ENTER
button.
The display changes to show the point
that was entered. If the point is invalid the
message “Invalid Point” or “This is not a
valid walk point” appears.
Test each point by first opening and then
closing the door or window or other detection
device.
Check the display after testing each point. For
interior points, walking past the device once is
sufficient. If any point will not test correctly,
contact your security company for service.

During the Walk Test you might want to refer
to the points that remain untested by pressing
the
View untested pts
button.
The display shows
### pts untested.
Press the
Point information
button to see
information about specific points that have not
yet been tested.
The display changes to show the information
for that point.
Move through this list by pressing the
Next
Point
button.
Press the
Exit
button to return to the
###
points remain to be tested
before continuing
the Service Walk Test.

When all points have been tested,
0 points
remain to be tested
is shown.
Press the
Exit
button.
The display momentarily shows
All points
have been tested
before returning to idle text.
Using Default Text
This function allows the current state of the area for 3
sec before returning to idle text.

Press the
Default Text
button to display the
current state of the area.
2.
The current state of the area is shown for 3 sec
before returning to idle text.
Keypad Setup Menu
The
Keypad Setup
menu is accessible at anytime
from any keypad menu. To start the menu, press and
hold the
0
button for at least 5 sec.
The adjustable functions that are available in this menu
are:
Set the keypad’s SDI Bus address
Adjust the keypad volume and display
brightness
Turn the button click tone on or off
Set the screen on time
Use the up and down buttons for each function to
change the setting for the options:
Keypad Address, SDI bus address
Keypad Volume. Applies to low priority tones
only
Button Click. Key press acknowledgement
Brightness
Screen On Time. Time in minutes before
power saving mode activates.
Press
Save
to save your changes when finished. The
display returns to idle text. Press
Back
to exit the
menu.
