Preparing to replace the chain

Please note:

To replace the ﬂ at-top

chain belt, belt section

BS 2/CH-HQ2, BS 4/C-HQ4

for the transverse conveyor

of the lift unit must be

removed.

Required tools

• Hex socket wrench, size 3

• Hex socket wrench, size 4

Preliminary steps

Allow the belt section to run

brieﬂ y and position the ﬂ at-

top plate with hole

(A, chain coupling position)

on the drive sprocket.



Now deenergize and

depressurize the system,

and secure it against

being reactivated.

Remove the headless

setscrew of the

belt section locking

mechanism.

Pull the belt section

up and off.

Remove the covers from

the drive heads.

Remove the cover

sheets from the chain

tensioners.
