Lift the bead onto the mounting head using the bead
lifter.

Remove the bead lifter.

With the helper in place, turn the rim-chuck plate
until the first bead is fully detached.

Insert the bead lifter up to the stop of the lower rim
flange;
11.
Place the master roller against the lower tire shoul-
der and lift the master roller while performing the
upward motion so as to assist the bead lifter in fully
lifting the bead onto the mounting head.
12.
Pull out the bead lifter and turn the rim-chuck plate
until the second bead is completely detached.

Mounting tires
5.2.1
Preparations for mounting
1.
Apply tire bead lubricant to the inside of the rim
flange, the bead seat and the drop center.
2.
Apply tire bead lubricant to the tire shoulder (RFT/
UHP) and the tire bead (inside/outside).
3.
Position the tire on the rim.
5.2.2
Mounting
!
Holding the second bead in the rim channel may be
especially difficult in the case of RFT or UHP tires,
and care must be taken not to damage the tire.
!
Make sure that the bottom tire bead passes the rim
flange and slips into the drop center.
1.
Locate the master roller and the helper against the
rim flange.
2.
Push down the tire shoulder using the master roller
and the helper.
