9. REFUELING
Before refuelling open the primary & secondary levers to reduce the chance of fuel odour.
Care must be taken when refuelling the stove. A protective glove or the multi tool handle
(see diagram) provided must be used as the handle on the body of the stove can get
extremely hot.
Use fire tongs when tending the fire.
Care must be taken not to stack the fuel too high. The fuel must not touch the overhead
baffle and airway.
Wood burns better on a bed of ash which only needs to be removed occasionally – Wood
only.
The handle & sliders get extremely hot – USE MULTI TOOL PROVIDED - See diagram
below.
10. SAFETY
This appliance gets very hot even long after the fire has been extinguished. Always use the multi
tool or a glove when opening the door or using the air dampers. Always use a fire guard in the
presence of children, the elderly or the infirm – see Specifications for Fire Guards BS6539
Appliances fitted correctly will not emit fumes
Occasional fumes from de-ashing and re-fuelling may occur
Persistent fume emissions must NOT be tolerated
