Cars without on-board monitor radio

Lay branches 

V/1

and 

V/2

, cable colour red/white and white/brown, to the installation site for the radio.

Lay branches 

V/4

and 

V/5

to the door plug in the A pillar.

Connect branch 

V/7

, cable colour brown, to the ground post X1108 (40) or, on RHD cars to ground post X10012,

beneath the carpet in the footwell on the driver's side.

Cars with on-board monitor radio

Press branch 

V/1

, cable colour red/white, into the socket casing (28) on slot No. 1.

Press branch 

V/2

, cable colour white/brown, into the socket casing (28) on slot No. 2.

Insulate the socket casing (28) and tie it back on the vehicle wiring harness.
Connect branch 

V/3

to branch 

VI/1

on the adapter cable for the switch module. Lay branches 

V/4

and 

V/5

to the

door plug in the A pillar. Connect branch 

V/7

, cable colour brown, to the ground post X1108 (40) or, on RHD cars

to ground post X10012, beneath the carpet in the footwell on the driver's side.

Cars without on-board monitor radio and with existing mute cable

Press the socket contact on slot No. 9, cable colour red/green, out of the radio connection plug X18126 (41) and
press in branch

V/1

, cable colour red/white. Press the pressed-out socket contact into slot No. 1 on the enclosed

2-pin socket casing (28).
Press the socket contact on slot No. 4, cable colour white/brown, out of the radio connection plug X18126 (41)
and press in branch 

V/2

, cable colour white/brown. Press the pressed-out socket contact into slot No. 2 on the

enclosed 2-pin socket casing (28). Connect branch 

V/3

, cable colour red/white and white/brown, to the 2-pin

socket casing (28). Install the radio.

Cars without on-board monitor radio and without existing mute cable

Press the socket contact on slot No. 9, cable colour red/green, out of the radio connection plug X18126 (41) and
press in branch 

V/1

, cable colour red/white. Press the pressed-out socket contact into slot No. 1 on the enclosed

2-pin socket casing (28).
Press branch 

V/2

, cable colour white/brown, from the switch module into the free slot No. 4 on the radio connection

plug X18126 (41). Press branch 

IV/6

, cable colour white/brown, from the speaker wiring harness

into the 2-pin

socket casing (28) on slot No. 2. Connect branch

, cable colour red/white and white/brown, to the 2-pin socket

casing (28). Install the radio.

Cars with on-board monitor radio

Lay branches 

VI/2-VI/4

, cable colours white/brown and red/white, along the vehicle wiring harness to the installation

site of the on-board monitor radio. Disconnect the radio connection plug X18126 (42) from the on-board monitor
radio (43).
Press the socket contact on slot No. 9, cable colour red/green, out of the radio connection plug X18126 (42) and
press in branch 

VI/4

, cable colour red/white. Press the pressed-out socket contact into slot No. 1 on the enclosed

2-pin socket casing (29).
Press the socket contact on slot No. 4, cable colour white/brown, out of the radio connection plug X18126 (42)
and press in branch 

VI/2

, cable colour white/brown. Press the pressed-out socket contact into slot No. 2 on the

enclosed 2-pin socket casing (29). Connect branch 

VI/3

, cable colour red/white and white/brown, to the 2-pin

socket casing (29). Reconnect the on-board monitor radio (43).

All cars

Press the 8-pin plug casing X18196 or X18198 (33) out of the plug casing (32). Press branch 

V/4

into the plug

casing (32). Connect the pressed-out 8-pin plug casing (33) to branch 

V/5

and secure the plug connector with

insulating tape (the plug connector will not lock into position). Install the door plug.Tie back the switch module 

V

with branch 

V/6

, which is not required, on the vehicle wiring harness near the A pillar.
