15. Function/Commissioning
Function
Commissioning and operation are described in the enclosed customer information for the radio
and sound module system.
Commissioning
After switching on the radio the volume control on the radio may only be adjusted
very slightly.
To prevent damaging the audio system the BMW sound module system is fitted with a delayed
switch-on system.
The amplifier does not come into full operation until 2 – 6 seconds after the radio is switched on.
Make sure that you inform the customer of this specially when you hand the car back to
him.
Further information on setting the radio to obtain optimal sound reproduction from the BMW
sound module system is provided in the customer information.
