The compact spare wheel is only
intended for temporary use after a
tyre failure and therefore has no RDC
electronic monitoring function. The
spare wheel with the same dimensions
as the car's other wheels and tyres has
the necessary RDC electronics fitted
and, when fitted to the car, is also mon-
itored when the system is active.

The RDC system is unable to reg-
ister sudden tyre damage caused
by external influences.

Have your tyres changed by BMW
Service.
BMW Service has full information on
how to handle RDC and is equipped
with the necessary special tools.

Faults
RDC can be subjected to interference
by outside equipment or devices which
use the same radio frequency.
While the fault persists, the yellow
warning light is on.
The warning light also comes on
>
in the event of a system fault
>
if a wheel not equipped with RDC is
fitted to the car
>
if in addition to the spare wheel other
wheels with RDC electronics are car-
ried on the car.
Consult BMW Service if necessary.
