Practical interior equipment
Glove box
To open
Pull the handle. The light inside the
glove box comes on.
To close
Swing the lid up.
After using the glove box, close
the lid without delay, so that it
cannot cause injury in the event of an
accident.

Locking
Lock with a master key. The glove box
can only be unlocked with a master key.
If you only hand over the door key
and ignition key, for example to
hotel staff (see page 30), this will pre-
vent unauthorised access to the glove
box.

Rechargeable hand light*
This is inside the glove box, on the left.
The light is protected against over-
charging and can therefore remain in
the socket when it is not in use.
Always switch the light off before
inserting it into the socket, other-
wise the battery could be run flat and
damaged.

Hi-fi system*
harman kardon hi-fi system
Each time you press the button, the
special acoustic effect is either
switched off or on.
When it is switched on, it suggests a lis-
tening area much larger than the car's
interior, with an improved stereo effect
at all seats.
If only a poor radio signal is received,
the system will tend to switch between
stereo and mono reception too fre-
quently. It should then be switched off.
