Electrical Connections
Loosen the two screws on the left side of the control panels and hinge control panel
open. Terminals are provided permitting single ovens to be connected to a single or
two phase supply with twin or triple deck units are suitable for two or three phase
supply. Access to these terminal studs may be improved by removing the bottom
stainless steel front cover and unscrewing the terminal board bracket (screws either
side of the fuses) and bringing the board and bracket out in front of the unit.
Wiring Entry
When viewed from the front of the oven, the wiring entry is in the back panel in the
right hand corner. A hole diameter 32mm (1¼") is provided for mains entry, extra
holes for interconnecting wiring of double and triple units allows for one mains supply
if desired.
Wiring Double or Triple Deck Units
Each deck requires two phase supply. Any two of a 240v three phase and neutral
supply can be used, which ever gives the most balanced loading in the kitchen. To
facilitate this, terminal studs for three phases have been supplied in each unit. this
will also allow looping of the unused phase to the deck above.
INSTALLATION
Many other combinations are available. The oven loads may not be balanced,
however in practice the average current drawn by the top elements of each unit (A1)
is considerably less than the bottom elements (A2). Therefore for double deck units
one phase should connect to the top elements of both units, and each of the other
two phases to the bottom elements.
