SERVICING 

DOOR: Ensure power supply is turned OFF. 

 
To adjust the spring counter balance, loosen the two screws on the left hand side of 
the control panel and swing control panel open.  The spring is adjusted by a wing nut.  
Screw in clockwise tighten spring tension.  To replace spring, chain or chain roller 
also remove bottom stainless steel cover (two screws each end) pull forward to re-
move.  Remove cover between door and control panel (open door and remove two 
screws). Pull cover out at bottom and down to disengage location tabs from top 
cover.  Vent knob will prevent complete removal of this panel, so it more room is re-
quired, the vent knob can be removed from the shaft.  Close door and taking care 
that it does not fall under its own weight, release the spring tension and unhook the 
spring from its adjusting screw.  Spring, chain or chain roller may now be replaced. 
 
To remove door, proceed as above, but also remove the cover panel to the left of the 
door (open door and remove two screws).  Pull cover out at the bottom and down to 
disengage location tags from the top cover.  Remove the bolts holding the hinge 
bearing castings and lift door clear. 
 
Reassembly in reverse order, but adjust door up and down when closed before tight-
ening the hinge bearings.  Door should sit hard against oven front (package hinge 
bearings as required) and should be parallel to top cover. 
 

WINDOW GLASS REPLACEMENT (700GD ONLY) 

 
1.      Open door and remove the 4 screws at the ends of the door. 
 
2.      Close door and remove the 4 screws around the window and remove the  
         stainless steel door outer panel. 
 
3.      Bend up tabs around glass and remove glasses and seals. 
 
4.      Reassemble with the new window glass.  Ensure all window seals are fitted  
         correctly.  Assembly is the reverse procedure of 1, 2, 3. 
 

Note:        

The glass panels closest to the inside of the oven are high temperature, 

heat reflecting type.   
 

CONTROLS 

Ensure power supply is OFF before attempting any servicing.  Loosen the two screws 
on the left hand of the control panel until control panel comes loose.  Hinge panel 
open. 
 

PILOT LAMPS 

Remove wires and push out the front of the panel.  Replace with new pilot lamp by 
pushing in from the front.  Use washer to hold lamp firmly in position. 
 

TOP ELEMENT CONTROLS 

Pull off knob and undo nut.
