TS Mapping Section
PID:
Clicking on the PID button will automatically populate all 8C’s with PIDs incremented by 16 after the entry of the
first PID number.
Name:
User entry of Program Name (max 7 alphanumeric characters).
Major/Minor Ch.
One Part:
Clicking on this button sets the encoders for a cable virtual channel range of 1 to 999. The minor channel
on all encoders will automatically be filled in with “0” for a one part channel scheme. Additionally once the first
major channel is entered on the top row, all the following Major channels will be populated sequentially. Editing
can be done prior to “Saving” the settings.
Two Part:
This setting configuration allows for major channel settings in the range of 1-999 as well as minor
channels from 1-999. This mode populates Programs 1 and 2 in each TS with minor channels 1 and 2 respectively.
Additionally once the first major channel is entered on the top row, all the following Major channels will be populated
sequentially. Editing can be done prior to “Saving” the settings.
CAUTION:
Do not click on the One or Two Part buttons after all the desired channel configurations have
been saved. If this is done inadvertently, immediately exit out of the page –
DO NOT SAVE
. This will
clear the automatically populated fields as discussed above. Upon returning to the page the prior saved
settings will be displayed.
RF Output Section
Channel:
Clicking on the Channel button at the top of the column automatically sets the encoders QAM output channel.
Once the first channel is selected, the remaining channels on all encoders will be set automatically to the next adjacent
channel consecutively.
Power:
QAM RF output level for each encoder. The range is 35 to 42 dBmV. It is recommended to maintain the output
level at 40 dBmV for normal operation.

Remember to click on the “SAVE ALL” button to apply all new values/configurations to any of the Encoders.
