Deflector maintenance
Dirt could build up on the inside of the deflector (3), especially
when the surface contains a lot of bitumen.
During the blasting process the bitumen will heat up, become sticky
and it will stick to the inside of the deflector. When the bitumen
cools down / hardens it forms a hard crust that stops the shot from
moving through. If this crusted dirt is not removed regularly the
performance of the machine will reduce drastically.
The deflector should be checked and if necessary cleaned, every 2
days.
-Remove the 3 bolts that hold the deflector, and lift it out of the
machine.
-Remove all of the dirt out the deflector.
-Check the rest of the separator for dirt and sediments.
-Also check the seals for damage or wear.
-Make sure everything is mounted back correctly.
