Chapter 4: Advanced Functions
After you finish with the settings, click on the “Apply” (6) button and the following message will be displayed:

Click on the “Continue” button to go back to the previous setup menu or to continue with other setup procedures. Click on the
“Apply” button to reboot the router so the settings will take effect (please wait for about 30 seconds while the router reboots).
To reset all settings in this page back to the previously saved values, click on the “Cancel” button.
DoS—Advanced Settings
When you click on the “Advanced” button in the DoS menu, the following message will be displayed:

Ping of Death (a):
Set the threshold of when this DoS prevention mechanism will be activated. Check the box
for Ping of Death and input the frequency for the threshold (how many packets per second,
minute, or hour). You can also input the Burst value, which means when this number for the
Ping of Death packet is received in a very short time, this DoS prevention mechanism will be
activated.
