To execute a
fi
rmware update, you need:
•
a computer with serial port
•
the update program
(updateEn.exe)
, which you will
fi
nd on the enclosed CD
•
the enclosed serial cable (RJ45 – DB9)
•
the current
fi
rmware
fi
le, e.g.
ServSwitch_4site_1_31c_Black_Box.upd
Use the serial cable to connect the COM port of your computer to the
RS232 port on the ServSwitch 4site.
Start the update program (updateEn.exe)
Set the desired COM port.
Enter drive and path of current
fi
rmware
fi
le under
Update
fi
le.
You can use the browse function (“Browse...“ - Icon)
to do so.
Click the “Update” button to start the upgrade
process.
The
fi
ve LEDs on the left side of the front panel
fl
ash (green – yellow) during the upgrade.
Additionally, the upgrade process is indicated by
an OSD window.
After a successful update, ServSwitch 4site restarts
without changing con
fi
guration.
