CAUTION
Disconnect the unit from the power line before removing cover. Avoid
adjusting, maintaining, and repairing the opened Modem Eliminator
under voltage as much as possible. When inevitable, repairs under
voltage should be carried out only by a skilled person who is aware of
the hazard involved. Capacitors inside the Modem Eliminator may still
be charged even after it has been disconnected from its source of
supply.
To change jumper setting, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the AC power cable from the mains.
2. Unscrew the screw fastening the top cover of the Modular
Modem Eliminator (located at the rear), and remove the cover.
3. Identify the jumpers according to
Figure 3-2
in
Section 3.2.3
.
4. Install the jumpers in the desired positions.
5. Reinstall the top cover.
