For work on the electrical system:
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Before working on the terminal box, module housing and electrical lines: Switch off the main switch and se-
cure it against being switched on again!
Close the terminal box and the module housing before switching on again!
!
!
NOTICE
The compressor module may be damaged or fail!
Never apply any voltage to the terminals of CN7 to CN12 – not even for test purposes!
The voltage applied to the terminals of CN13 must not exceed 10 V!
The voltage applied to terminal 3 of CN14 must not exceed 24 V! Do no apply voltage to the other terminals!
For work on the frequency inverter (FI):
DANGER
Wrong or insufficient earthing may result in life-threatening electric shocks upon contact with the frequency
inverter!
Earth the complete frequency inverter permanently and check the earth contacts at regular intervals!
Prior to any intervention in the device, check all voltage connections for proper insulation.
!
!
NOTICE
Operating the frequency inverter at high temperatures leads to stress and reduced lifetime!
Take into account the maximum ambient temperatures at the place of installation.
Observe the minimum clearances for ventilation.
6.1
Arrangement of the wiring
Strictly observe the frequency inverter manufacturer's installation recommendations and requirements! Observe the
following in particular:
• The power cable between frequency inverter and compressor motor should have a suitable EMC shield which is
connected to both the mounting plate of the electrical enclosure and to the body of the motor with large contact-
area bonding of the screen without any “pigtail” connections.
• Depending on the local environment (residential, commercial, industrial etc.), additional EMC filters may be re-
quired.
• The motor should be earthed using the protective earth conductor of this cable.
• Additionally, the compressor housing should be earthed separately with a cable of suitable cross-sectional area.
• With regard to the power cable, the frequency inverter m
anufacturer's recommendations should be observed (e.g. concerning maximum length, spacing to other cables).
