Replacing Electrodes

Change your electrodes every other day

, following 

these steps:
•  Turn off monitor.

•  Remove battery from sensor.

•  Unsnap lead wires from the electrodes.

•  Gently remove electrodes from skin (Use soap, water, 

or adhesive remover if necessary.)

•  Wash and dry skin thoroughly.

•  Snap new electrodes to lead wires.

•  Place electrode on skin in a slightly different location. 

(Refer to illustration for alternate locations.)

•  Allow 10-15 minutes for electrodes to adhere to skin.

•  Insert sensor battery and turn on monitor.

If you have a Pacemaker implanted, do not place 
the electrode directly on top of it.
