Recommendations for placing the palm of the hand on the reader
Depending on the access settings in the Biosmart-Studio v5 software and the settings of the BioSmart
UniPass controller working model, an employee successful or unsuccessful identification will be
accompanied by a sound signal and/or a signal from a LED indicator and/or an executive device is triggered.
To pass identification by card (RFID-tag), place the card to the RFID-cards reader field (see Figure 16).

Depending on the access settings in the Biosmart-Studio v5 software and the BioSmart UniPass
controller work model settings, successful or unsuccessful identification of an employee will be accompanied
by a sound signal and/or a signal from the LED indicator and/or the actuator is triggered.
The BioSmart PV-WM reader is designed for round-the-clock operation. If
it’s necessary
to turn off the
reader, follow the steps below.
If the reader is powered from a separate 12V power supply (via the 12V and GND terminations), then
disconnect the power supply.
If the reader is powered from the BioSmart UniPass controller via PoE, then to turn off the reader,
remove the Ethernet connector from the corresponding port on the reader or controller board.
