Daylight Savings Time Adjustment
The Logger can be set to adjust automatically to Daylight Saving Time for your region. Please note the following
information before enabling this feature:
When using the Daylight Savings Time adjustment for the Logger, the Time Zone should be set to the
Standard
time for your time zone regardless of the day of the year. For example, when using daylight
savings time adjustment, the time zone for California would be “GMT-8:00” in both summer and winter. The
automatic Daylight Savings Time adjustment corrects this standard time zone. If daylight savings time
adjustment is not being used, the time zone should be adjusted manually.
The Logger uses the definition of “European Summer Time,” which matches the transition dates of most
European countries but always jumps forward and falls back at 1AM. If you don't want that specific auto-
adjustment, or your country does not observe daylight savings time, the automatic DST adjustment should be
disabled.
To enable the Daylight Savings Time adjustment:
1.
In the Main screen, press the down-arrow button and scroll down to the “Configure” menu.
2.
Press the “Select”
button.
3.
With “Date & Time” highlighted, press the “Select” button again.
4.
Scroll down to the “DST” entry and use the
button to toggle the selection to “On.”
To set the DST adjustment to set automatically:
1.
In the Main screen, press the down-arrow button and scroll down to the “Configure” menu.
2.
Press the “Select”
button.
3.
With “Date & Time” highlighted, press the “Select” button again.
4.
Scroll down to the “Adjust DST” entry and use the
button to
toggle to the correct selection for your region (USA or EUR).
NOTE:
The above adjustments may only be changed when using manual DST adjustment. If automatic DST
adjustment is in use, the setting will not be able to be changed as it is determined automatically from the
current date.
