4.2.3 Error Codes
Error code 201:
This error means that the needle had trouble puncturing the foil. Check first that the foil isn’t
doubled, and that the plate holder lid is flat and secure. Also check the silver, donut-shaped oil-rinse reservoir
that sits behind the plate holder. If it contains oil or debris, it’s possible that the waste oil pump needs service.
You should contact Technical Support.
All other error codes:
Since the computer directly controls the instrument’s fluidics, problems with computer
performance can trigger instrument errors. The first step in troubleshooting is to restart the entire system,
including restarting Windows on the host computer. If the error persists, contact Technical Support.
Tips:
The computer sees the QX200 Droplet Reader as an attached “removable disk” drive. Sometimes
Windows updates will stall when Windows tries to query the reader; this problem can easily be solved
by making sure you have the instrument powered off or disconnected when running Windows updates
on the computer.
