General safety instructions on installing and operating the temperature
measuring device TM 01
With regard to operating the temperature measuring device TM 01 and to its installation location, please
observe regulations BGR 120 issued by the German professional association for the chemical industry
(formerly ZH 1/119 laboratory guidelines issued by the employers’ liability insurance association) (for
Germany).
BINDER GmbH is only responsible for the safety features of the unit provided skilled electricians or
qualified personnel authorized by BINDER perform all maintenance and repair, and if components
relating to chamber safety are replaced in the event of failure with original spare parts.
CAUTION
Danger of overheating.
Damage to the unit.

Do NOT install the unit in unventilated recesses.

Ensure sufficient ventilation for dispersal of the heat.
The temperature measuring device TM 01 is
not
suitable for monitoring potentially explosive areas or test
vessels with explosive content. It must NOT be operated in hazardous locations.

Explosion hazard.
Danger of death.

Do NOT operate the unit in potentially explosive areas.

KEEP explosive dust or air-solvent mixtures AWAY from the unit.
CAUTION
Danger of contamination of the usable space of the temperature chamber.

Observe the hygiene and work regulations applicable in the laboratory.
¾
Clean the sensor before and after use (chap. 8.2).
CAUTION
Excessive temperature > 350°C.
Damage to the sensor.

Do NOT exceed the maximum temperature of 350°C.

Electrical hazard.
Danger of death.

The unit must NOT become wet during operation or maintenance.
The devices have been produced in accordance with VDE regulations and were routinely tested in
accordance to VDE 0411-1 (IEC 61010-1).
