To completely isolate the unit from the power supply, you must disconnect the power plug. Install the unit
in a way that the power plug is easily accessible and can be easily disconnected in case of danger.
The temperature measuring device TM 01 must NOT be installed and operated in hazardous locations.

KEEP explosive dust or air-solvent mixtures AWAY from the vicinity of the unit.

Installation of the equipment
4.1
Electrical connection
The temperature measuring device TM 01 has a fixed power connection cable of 1800 mm in length (G)
and a shockproof plug.
•
Power supply fuse: 10 Amp
•
Power supply voltage 230 V (1N~) +/- 10 %, 50/60 Hz
•
Protection type (measuring station): IP20
•
Prior to connection and start-up, check the power supply voltage. Compare the values to the data
specified on the type plate of the unit (chap. 1.3).

When connecting, please observe the regulations specified by the local electricity supply company
and as well as the VDE directives (for Germany)
•
Pollution degree (acc. to IEC 1010-1): 2
•
Over-voltage category (acc. to IEC 1010-1): II
Insert the power plug of the measuring station into a specified socket.
CAUTION
Danger of incorrect power supply voltage.
Damage to the equipment.

Check the power supply voltage before connection and start-up.

Compare the power supply voltage with the data indicated on the type plate.

Start up
5.1
Switching on the unit
Switch on the temperature measuring device TM 01 at the main switch (F).
Insert the Pt 100 temperature sensor into the device to be supervised without causing any leakages.
The measuring device is now ready for operation. The measured temperature is displayed on display (C).
The display (B) is only of relevance if the temperature is supervised via the communication software APT-
COM™ 3.
