You will only need this feature if you plan to set
up
Call Barring
(see page 26).
The base unit has a default PIN (personal iden-
tity number) of
0000
. You can change it to any
number you’ll remember, up to eight digits.

standby mode

If you forget your new PIN, you’ll need to reset the
system, as described on page 31, and you’ll lose any
numbers you’ve stored in memory.
