Route the camera cable around the engine bay all the way to the rubber grommet in the firewall as
space permits, and proceed to run it up to the MMI module, connecting it via the camera connecting
cable to the FRONT video input and also connect the camera power connector to the appropriate
power socket with yellow and black wires on the PnP harness.
Make sure the front camera picture is unobstructed by the grille and not upside down.
To engage Front Camera Mode for an indefinite period of time press and hold the iDrive Controller
“OPTION” button for 2 seconds. To exit camera mode press and hold the iDrive BACK button.
You can also set up Front Camera to engage automatically when changing from Reverse to Drive gear
in automatic transmission vehicles for a set period of time between 0 (disabled) and 15 seconds in
