SAFETY INFORMATIONS
•
Secure your vehicle against unintended movement.
•
Always follow the manufacturer’s recommendations.
•
Do not leave brake fluid out in the open. Brake fluid is hygroscopic which means it will absorb
humidity out of the air. The existence of water in brake fluid will decrease its boiling point and
may cause a total malfunction of your brake system.
•
Always use new and unused brake fluid; used and worn out brake fluid may cause a total
malfunction of your brake system.
NOTES
•
Make sure that the bleeding bottle (10) does not fill up completely during the bleeding process in order
to avoid spilling brake fluid.
•
When bleeding, observe the sequence of the brake calipers to be bleeded.
•
Observe the vehicle manufacturer's instructions on the venting process.
•
Only use brake fluid approved by the vehicle manufacturer.
BLEEDING
1. Fill the bleeding device with sufficient brake fluid.
2. Remove the cap of the brake system tank.
3. Make sure that the brake fluid tank is filled with brake fluid.
4. Connect the adapter (7) to the brake fluid tank and tighten the adapter slightly with the wrench (12).
5. Close the pressure relief valve (6) and apply a pressure of 0.9 bar (28-psi) to the bleeding device by
pressing the pump knob (1) several times. Maintain pressure during the bleeding process and re-
pressurize the bleeding device if necessary. Never exceed the pressure of 0.9 bar (28-psi).
6. Fasten the bleeding bottle (10) with the help of the chain and the hook at a point that is higher than
the bleeding valve.
7. Connect the adapter (8) to the bleeding valve of the brake caliper.
8. Make sure that all connections made are free of leakage.
9. Open the bleeding valve by turning it counterclockwise.
10. Check the transparent bleeding hose (9) for air bubbles.
11. When the brake fluid flows clear and free of air bubbles through the hose, retighten the bleeding valve
and proceed to the next caliper (steps 6-11).
12. Perform steps 13-16 when the brake system is completely bled.
13. Open the pressure release valve (6) and carefully release the pressure in the bleeding device.
14. Disconnect the adapter (7) from the brake fluid tank and remove the bleeding bottle. Be careful not to
spill brake fluid.
15. After the bleeding process, check the level of the brake fluid in the brake fluid tank. Add brake fluid
when the fluid level is too low.
16. Finally, check whether the brake system is free of leakage and that there is a clearly defined brake
pressure point.
MAINTENANCE
Clean the bleeding device after use.
Use only approved accessories and original spare parts.
When not in use, store the bleeding device in a safe, dry place out of the reach of children.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of throwing them away as waste. All tools, accessories
and packaging must be sorted, taken to a recycling center and disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner. Brake fluid must not get into the environment; dispose of old
and no longer required brake fluid in an environmentally friendly manner. Check with your
local waste authority about recycling measures. At the end of its service life, dispose of this
product in an environmentally friendly manner.
