4.5. CLEANING THE FILTERS
•
Power take-off stopped, place (

Open and clean the
fi
lters (position a bucket to
recover the residues).
SUCTION FILTER
(
fi
gure 32)
•
Before opening the suction
fi
lter (2), drain the
cartridge by unscrewing the yellow cap (3).
•
To clean the
fi
lter:
- Undo the nut (1).
- Remove the cap (3).
-
Push
the
fi
lter down and clean it.
•
If a leak appears on the lid after putting the
fi
lter
back, tighten the nut (1) slightly.
DELIVERY FILTER

fi

•
Before opening the delivery
fi
lter (4), drain the
cartridge by opening the tap (6) (recover the
residues in a bucket).
•
To clean the
fi
lter:
-
Undo
the
fi
lter body (5).
-
Push
the
fi
lter down and clean it.
•
If a leak appears on the lid after putting the
fi
lter
back, tighten the body (5) slightly.
4.6. PUMP MAINTENANCE
PUMP APS 61
•
Check oil level every 50 hours.
•
Drain the pump every 200 hours.
•
Check pump valves (
fi
gure 34):
- Unscrew the screws (7).
- Remove all the valves and check status:

1. Sticking of valve on its seat - free and then
oil.
▪
2. If presence of foreign matters, remove them.
▪
3.
Deterioration of valve, valve seat or cage:
replace the defective component.
The inspection operation and the replacement of
diaphragms should only be performed by quali
fi
ed
personnel (see your BERTHOUD dealer).
