> To back up personal data and settings, tap «Save Data».
– Wait until the data has been backed up onto the USB stick.
NOTICE Incomplete update due to removing the BERNINA USB stick too early
If the software has not been updated or has not been fully updated, the machine cannot be used.
> Remove the BERNINA USB stick only once the update has been successfully completed.
> To start the firmware update, tap «Start firmware update».
– Wait until the firmware update has finished.

> Wipe the screen with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth.
Cleaning the bobbin case
CAUTION Electronically driven components
Risk of injury near the needle and the hook.
> Switch off the machine and disconnect it from the power supply.
> Open the hook cover.
> Remove the bobbin case.
> Remove the bobbin from the bobbin case.
> Remove dust, fabric and thread lint with the brush.
– If fabric and thread lint has become caught under the brake spring, the brake spring must be
removed.
