• In this exercise, a baseline sampler will be created.
• Default settings will be used for each font.
• This motif will be created using the Medium hoop.
• Begin by accessing the
Alphabet folder
.
• Select the
Alice font
.
• The keyboard screen appears.
• Input the word -
Bernina
.
• Touch
OK
.
• Select the
Medium hoop
.
• Select the
Duplicate
symbol.
• Go to
Edit 2
.
• Select the
Letter Manipulation
symbol.
• Choose the
Vertical baseline
option and touch
OK
.
• Select the
Move Motif
symbol and using both the Stitch length anbd Stitch width knobs, move the
“Bernina” to the left side of the hoop.
- Stitch width knob position
- 300
- Stitch length knob position

Retrieve
the other “Bernina” word.
• Use the default baseline option (Horizontal)
• Select the
Move Motif
symbol and using both the Stitch length anbd Stitch width knobs, move the
“Bernina” up and to the right side of the hoop.

• Go back to
Edit 1
.
• Select the
Duplicate
option.
• Go to
Edit 2

• Select the
Letter Manipulation
symbol.
• Choose the
Curved baseline ABOVE the smallest green circle
option - touch OK.
• Select the
Move Motif
symbol and position the word “Bernina” as follows - - -
- Stitch width knob position

- Stitch length knob position
