SHELL EDGE
Owner’s manual pg.____
• Select the Blind stitch #7 - SW 2.5-5mm and SL 1.5-2mm. The longer the stitch length, the
larger the shells.
• Engage the mirror image function.
• Fold under one 6” edge about ½” and press.
• Place fabric to the left and position it under the foot so that the stitch, when it swings to the
right, will just pass over the folded edge.
• On knit fabrics the surplus can be trimmed from the wrong side close to the stitch.
• On woven fabrics it is advisable to first sew a row of small zigzag stitches about ¼” from
where the shell edge will be. Then you will be able to trim close to these stitches after the
edge is finished.
• Trim and mount the sample.
This stitch is suitable for fine, fabrics and is ideal for lingerie and nightwear.
