1.1 Introduction
The purposes of your BERNINA 475 QE are sewing and quilting.Delicate silk or satin fabrics as well as heavy-
weight linen, fleece and denim can be sewn without any problems with this machine. A wide range of
practical as well as decorative stitches and buttonholes are at your disposal.
In addition to this instruction manual, following Help Programs are provided at any time to give you useful
advice and support how to operate your BERNINA 475 QE.
The Tutorial provides information and explanations on different sections concerning sewing and the various
stitches.
The Creative Consultant informs you about decision support for sewing projects. After entering the choice
of fabric and the intended sewing project, suggestions concerning the suitable needle or the appropriate
presser foot are displayed.
