III. SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The Bergey EXCEL 10 is an upwind horizontal-axis wind turbine designed for
distributed generation applications,

connected to the power grid on the customer’s side

of the utility meter. The complete unit consists of the following major components, as
shown in the figure below:
