When an audio or video file is selected to be played,
SRS
Sound
is activated automatically.
• The
Senior Mode
(
) is recommended for the elderly.
Click
to apply the sound effect to the audio/video file.
• To use other sound effects, click
(for audio files) or
(for video files), and select a desired effect from the drop-
down list below the power button
.
• To disable the selected sound effect, click
.
Using text input
To enter text, you can use the accompanying physical keyboard
and the on-screen keyboard pre-installed in your operating
system.
Depending on the language version of your operating system,
different text input methods are pre-installed. You can activate
new input methods and switch to the desired ones as needed.
• To use the physical keyboard, refer to the Help file in the
program or
Start
>
Help and Support
.
• To use the on-screen keyboard, double-click
on the
desktop. Click the keys on the virtual keyboard to enter
corresponding characters or activate designated functions.
Using the gadgets
Your nScreen has embedded a program which collects multiple
gadgets that can retrieve the latest updates from the web pages,
including news, daily weather, calendar, and so on, which keep
you connected to the world. You are also provided with easy-to-
use tools and entertainments that are available via gadgets.
Below is a brief introduction on adding gadgets. For more
functions, refer to the Help file in the program.
Adding new gadgets
1. Make sure your nScreen is connected to the Internet as
instructed in
"LAN (Local Area Network) port (RJ-45
connector)" on page 12
or
"Connecting to a wireless
network" on page 19
.
2. Right-click
in the notification area located at the lower
right corner of the desktop, and select
Get More Widgets...
.
Available gadgets are displayed.
3. Select a desired gadget and follow the on-screen instructions
to download it.
To manually bring up the

control panel, double-
click
