Digital Zoom Photography
Using digital zoom, images appear closer. Whereas digital zoom is a compelling feature, the more an image
is enlarged (zoomed), the more pixilated (grainier) the image will appear. The digital zoom function is only
available when you set the LCD monitor and the digital zoom to on. To enable the digital zoom, refer to
DIGITAL ZOOM in Record/Manual Record menu.
1. Set the mode dial to the
mode or the
mode.
2. Turn on the LCD monitor by pressing the
button.
3. To enable the digital zoom:
a. Press the
button.
b. Press the or button to select DIGITAL ZOOM, and press the button.
c. Press the or button again to select ON, and press the
button.
d. Press the
button again to exit from the menu mode.
e. To activate the digital zoom, press the
button completely and hold it until the image on the LCD
monitor expands.
4. Press the shutter button to capture a "zoomed" image.
Note:
Digital photography is not possible when the LCD monitor display is turned off.
Digital zoom is
not
available at a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels.
Digital zoom cannot be used in the movie mode.
The maximum zoom magnification is 2x for recording an image.
