General safety instructions

•  The equipment must be used in accordance 

with the manufacturer's instructions. It must 
not be used for a purpose other than that for 
which it is designed. Pay special attention to 
the safety instructions.

•  Arrange a test session with a healthcare pro-

fessional on correct use of the equipment

•  Do not smoke while using this accessory
•  Storing or using the equipment close to a na-

ked flame or flammable products can result in 
damage to the equipment or serious injuries.

Safety information about installation

•  Before use, ensure that it is adjusted using the 

settings defined during the installation proce-
dure.

•  After any adjustment, repair or servicing and 

before use, ensure that all the fastenings are 
fitted and suitably tightened.

•  Inadequately tightened or missing fastenings 

can cause instability, resulting in damage to 
the equipment or serious injuries.

•  Ensure all screws are fully tightened.
•  Pinch points can arise when making adjust-

ments: mind your fingers.

•  The castor must be extended and locked be-

fore tipping the wheelchair backwards.

•  Your approved dealer should repair or replace 

loose, worn, distorted or damaged parts be-
fore using the accessory.

•  For example, if you find a defect in the acces-

sory  or  a  significant  change  during  use,  stop 
using it immediately and contact your ap-
proved dealer.

•  Do not perform any maintenance task oth-

er than those described in this user manual. 
These repairs or servicing must be carried out 
by a qualified technician. Contact a Benoit Sys-
tèmes
 dealer or technician.

•  For safety reasons and to avoid accidents re-

lated to unnoticed past wear, it is vital that this 
accessory should be checked regularly under 
normal use conditions.
