COOLING LIQUID LEVEL
ISPECTION
As the refilling and checking of cooling
system may be dificult for an operator
with little experience, we recommend
contacting an authorised Benelli
workshop.
Lubrication
The chain must only be lubricated at an
Authorised Benelli Workshop, at the time
intervals specified in the Scheduled
Maintenance Table in this manual.
This operation must also be carried out
every time you ride the bike in rain and
after each wash.
Using the motorcycle with the chain in
bad condition and not lubricated may
cause accidents.
The chain must be correctly lubricated to
guarantee maximum efficiency. Use
Petronas 6 in 1.
TOPPING UP COOLANT
The cooling system serves to cool the
recirculating water and allow the engine to
operate in optimum conditions.
Make sure the coolant is at the correct
level in the tank as described in the
dedicated section.
If the coolant level is below the minimum
(MIN), top up as described:
• Place the vehicle on a flat surface and
keep it upright.
• Remove the cap “A” from the coolant
tank and add more coolant as far as the
(MAX) level, making sure not to exceed
this.
The cooling fluid must only be topped up
when the engine is cool.
Never try to remove the cooling fluid tank
cap while the engine is hot. Risk of burns.
The circuit is pressurized!
In certain conditions, the ethylene glycol
in the cooling fluid may become flamma-
ble and its lame is invisible.
Do not allow cooling fluid to come into
contact with hot parts, as the combustion
of ethylene glycol may expose you to the
risk of burns.
Engine cooling fluid is harmful if swallo-
wed, or if it comes into contact with eyes
or skin.
Keep the engine cooling fluid out of reach
of children and pets.
In the event of swallowing cooling fluid,
seek medical aid immediately; do not
provoke vomiting to avoid breathing the
product into the lungs.
In case of cooling fluid in contact with
eyes or skin rinse immediately with plenty
of water.
