3.2. Installation
When installing the DRYPOINT
®
M intelligence, observe the direction of flow of the compressed air. If the compressed air
flows from left
→
right, the purge air outlet (2) faces forward.
• For maintenance and servicing, we recommend installing a bypass line (1). Take into account that there should be around
30 cm space for the operation of the control unit.
• Install the supplied long nipples and the check valve in the outlet assembly of the membrane dryer (mount in flow
direction, see arrow on check valve).
• The purge air must flow freely from the section covered by the screen (2).
• The room in which the unit and the accessory equipment are installed must not house units that might release chemical
substances.
• The unit must be installed in a room that is protected against frost. The ambient temperature as well as the compressed
air temperature must be b35 and +122 °F.
• Before installing the unit, thoroughly clean the existing pipelines and devices. (e.g. by blowing out).
• Seal all threads with Teflon tape
→
do not use liquid sealants.
• Install the unit so that the filter can be changed easily without causing damage to the drying system.
