5.7 Current Measurement

Ensure that the measurement
circuit is not live when connec-
ting the measurement instru-
ment.
After instrument fuse tripping eli-
minate the cause for the tripping
prior to fuse replacement..
Select the respective measure-
ment range

, depending on the cur-
rent value to be expected, by
means of measurement function
selection switch. If the value to be
measured is un-known, the hig-

has to be selected.
Connect the black test lead with
the
COM
socket and the red test
lead with the

socket.
Select the current value to be
expected by using the key
.
Connect test leads to UUT.
Read the measurement value on
the display screen.
The multimeter automatically
selects the most appropriate
measurement range (auto ran-
ging). The function key
is
used for manual measurement
range selection.
If the display cannot be seen during
the measurement or if the value is
fluctuating, the measurement value
can be frozen by pressing the key
.
