With all of the pre-requisites for the assay completed, the instrument is now ready to perform
its final check of finding barcoded sample tubes in the carousel. To begin, press the button
highlighted green to initiate the scanning of sample carousel positions. The instrument will be
able to find the sample tubes anywhere in the carousel but you should ensure that there are
an amount equal to the target value.

While the scan is taking place, the progress will be shown on the display, indicating what
barcodes have been found and where. Once a sufficient amount of barcodes have been
detected, a button highlighted blue will become active to allow you to start the assay.

In the event that a barcode is present but damaged, it may be possible to manually indicate the
presence of a barcode by using the manual button located on the bottom left-hand side.

Note: The relevant engineering option must be enabled for this option to appear.
