Bedrock AM100 operating manual

If you plan to use a third-party microphone with your AM100, you will need to obtain a
so-called “mic.ini” file for that particular microphone. Please contact support if you need
access to third-pary microphone data (if available).
The settings menu also features a screen that lets you configure the power saving settings of
the device, and a screen with settings for delaying and repeating measurements.
Left: measurement settings (measure continuously and start delay
Right: power saving settings (backlight time-out and display brightness)
When “measure continuously” is enabled, the AM100 will keep starting new measure-
ments until manually interrupted. This applies throughout all modules. The same is true
for the option “start delay,” which can be set from 0 seconds (off) to 60 seconds. This option
is useful to allow time for (for example) leaving the room or stepping away from the meter.
The backlight time-out makes the backlight automatically switch off if the touch screen has
not been touched for a while. This time-out can be set between 30 seconds and 30 minutes,
or the backlight can be set to never turn off at all.
The backlight time-out option saves battery power. But keep in mind that
it will cause the screen to black out
without turning the device off.
Don’t for-
get to turn the device off when you finish working; the fact that the screen
is dark does not necessarily mean that the device is turned off. To turn the
backlight back on again after a time-out, press the power button. The touch
screen will not respond while the backlight is turned off, but measurements
will continue to run.
The fifth screen of the settings module (“misc settings”) contains two settings: audio re-
cording and text annotations.
