Malfunction
Solution
1
After switching on, the blades
do not rotate
Check that the hydraulic hoses are connected.
2
The machine is switched on,
but not all of the three blade
heads rotate
Check the nylon sleeve of the drive coupling, which is
fitted as a safeguard.
To do so, remove the plate on which the hydraulic motor
is mounted. It is easy to remove. Simply remove the four
bolts. Replace the nylon ring if it is broken or damaged.
3
The machine is working, but
the result is not the best
and/or the trimmed material is
thrown too far away.
Check that the rotation direction of the blades matches
the arrows on the protective cover, which indicates the
correct rotation direction. If this is not the case, you can
change this using the quick-release coupling to switch
the pressure and return hoses on the trimmer.
4
The machine works, the blades
rotate in the correct direction
and are sharp, but the result is
not optimal.
Check the rotational speed of the blade heads. The
rotational speed of the blades must be 2,500 RPMs.
5
The machine operates as it is
supposed to, but the trimming
is not flat.
Check that the trimmer is suspended in parallel with the
surface to be trimmed. Consult Section 4.1.
6
The trimmer vibrates when
running at the operational
rotational speed.
Check the knife-mounting disks and the blades. The
blades are probably damaged and are causing an
imbalance. Always replace the blades in sets of two.
Consult Section 0 to see how to replace the blades!
If a knife-mounting disk is bent for whatever reason, it
must always be replaced. Do not try to align it!
If you cannot resolve the malfunction using the recommendations in the above table, consult with
your dealer or maintenance department.
