Adjust the
trimmer so it is
in the desired
position.
Use the support arm to place the hedge trimmer at the
correct height and angle. For detailed instructions, see
the support arm and tool holder manuals.
The trimmer is not suited for work activities at ground
level. There is a high risk that the blades come into
contact with the ground and/or obstacles due to the
construction of the hedge trimmer.
5
Switch on the
hedge trimmer
For detailed instructions, see the support arm and tool
holder manuals.
To prevent damage to the installation, it is important that
the hedge trimmer is gradually switched on or off using
the lowest RPMs. Once the installation is switched on,
the RPMs can be increased.
Switching on or off
at high RPMs
causes high loads
on the installation.
6
Trim the hedge
Adjust driving speed to the desired trimming outcome.
Driving too quickly
results in a poorly
trimmed hedge.
7
Stop in the
following
situations!
The hedge trimmer and the work activities must be
stopped immediately
in the following situation:
People or animals approach or enter the five to ten
meter safety zone around the hedge trimmer. (See
Figure 9 and Table 1) The driver must make this
assessment.
People or animals approach or enter the five to ten

assessment.
The hedge trimmer starts making a different sound or
starts to vibrate.
If the blades come into contact with materials other
than that intended for the hedge trimmer.
If you do not stop
promptly in the
above situations,
it may lead to
serious injury.
