5.3 DVI-D (X200)
VGA adapter not compatible
The DVI interface does not implement VGA signals, therefore CRT-VGA monitors cannot be con-
nected to the Embedded PC.
A DVI-D to VGA adapter cannot be used
The DVI-D interface transfers digital data and is suitable for connecting a digital display. The resolution at the
display or the Beckhoff Control Panel depends on the distance from the display device. The maximum
distance is 5 m. Beckhoff offers various Panels with an integrated "DVI extension". These make a cable
length of up to 50 meters possible.

The Embedded PC also supports higher resolutions, based on the DVI standard. A maximum resolution of
2560 x 1440 pixels can be set on the Embedded PC. Whether this resolution is achieved depends on the
monitor, the cable quality and the cable length.
