Retrieving Your Sample in Case of Power Failure

Make sure that the rotor is not spinning.
•
No sound or vibration comes from the centrifuge.
WARNING
Never attempt to override the door interlock system while the rotor is spinning.

Locate the two joined release cords underneath the bottom center of the centrifuge (not visible
from the centrifuge front). See
Figure 3.1
.

Pull on the cords or insert a screwdriver through the two cords and pull to release.
•
The latch releases and the door opens.

If the rotor is still spinning,
close the door and wait until it stops before attempting to remove it
.
WARNING
Never attempt to slow or stop the rotor by hand.
