Internal data acquisition
A protected microcontroller in the power supply collects and stores the operating data during the service life
of the device. The data facilitates troubleshooting. It is possible to analyze the events leading up to the
malfunction in detail.
Recorded data:
• Name of the device product family (PS3xxxx), firmware version
• Operating hours
• Elapsed portion of the service life (combination of temperature and time period)
• Maximum ambient temperatures with timestamp (max. 47 values)
• Maximum input voltages with timestamp (max. 47 values) and input voltage type (AC or DC)
• Error report (various internal errors)
• Number and timestamps of the overvoltage transients at the input
• Number and timestamps of shutdowns due to overtemperature
• Number of switch-on sequences
The data is acquired at a fixed sampling rate, unless data acquisition is triggered by an unusual condition. In
such cases the exceptional condition is recorded. In addition, data is always recorded shortly before the
device is switched off.
