Connection of ground, shield und earthing
Due to the differential inputs of the terminals, different methods for connection of ground, shield und earthing
are recommended depending on the type of thermocouple used.
• For earthed thermocouples, ground is connected to the shield.
• If the thermocouple has no earth connection, the ground, shield and -TC1 or -TC2 contacts are
connected with each other.

The examples show the situation for KL3312. For the KL3314, the shield should be connected to an
additional shield terminal (KL9195).
