Trouble Shooting
Check plug pinout on pump connector:
Red
wire to Deutsch connector pin 1
Black wire to Deutsch connector pin 2
Correct wires
by removing
pin lock
Check fuel flow by
removing outlet. Leave
inlet connected to tank.
Retighten outlet and
purge air from lines
following the vehicles
factory service
manual.
Check for restrictions
in fuel system before
or after pump
Remove pump from vehicle. Insert
hoses from pump inlet and outlet
into a fuel can to check flow
Motor OK. Attempt
gas can test
again. Inspect for
clogged screen or
intake
Test resistance across pump pins.
Specification is between 0.3
Ω and
10
Ω at room temperature
Check for 12V at vehicle side wiring
harness pins using DMM or test
light with the key in RUN position
Inspect wiring and pins
for corrosion or damage
Faulty DC motor
return to BD
Repair faulty wiring or
correct wiring harness
issues
Faulty pump
return to BD

Check the inline fuse on the
wiring harness
Will the pump run if connected
directly too the battery without a fuse.
