Duo-Scan 3
1.2 POWer On/OFF
Duo-Scan 3 is designed to operate only from a 12V DC battery pack.
Use only the BCF supplied battery pack.
Ensure the charged battery pack is securely latched to the Duo-Scan 3.
Press and hold the ‘POWER’ button
FREEZE
on the front panel until the system beeps.
The green ‘DC POWER’ light located above the power button should be illuminated and the scanner
will now perform a system initialisation.
If the probe is connected, it will start to rotate. If the imaging display device is connected, its screen
will be illuminated.
The sector scan and settings will be displayed on the screen.
The buzzer will sound twice; the second indicates that the system initialisation is complete and the
system is ready to function.
If the supply voltage is too low (less than 9 volts) the system will display a ‘Low Battery’
message for 6 seconds before powering down.
To switch the scanner off, press and hold the power button
FREEZE
until the scanner shuts down.
