The PS-2200 has the ability to simulate a combined Fetal/Maternal ECG. It assumes a
Fetal Scalp Electrode and a Maternal Thigh Electrode. Additionally, it produces a pressure
waveform to simulate uterine contractions. The waveform may be triggered manually or set
to occur periodically. The Intrauterine-Pressure (IUP) curve causes a change in the Fetal
Heart Rate (FHR) based on the type of reaction selected. The IUP waveform is on Blood
Pressure Channel 1 (BP1) and simulates an Intra-Amniotic catheter connected to a
pressure transducer.
