Instructio ns
1. O p en lid while lighting the b urner. Lid must remain o p en while b urner is lit.
2. Valve must b e in th e O FF p ositio n.
3. O p en n atural gas valve.
4. Push an d turn co nt ro l kno b slowly ab o ut ¼ turn counter- cl o ck wise until
a click is h e ard. I f ignitio n d o e s not o ccur within 5 se con ds, turn the b urner co n
rol(s) o f f. Wait 5 minutes and rep e at th e pro ce dure.
5. Adjust valve kno b to the de sire d co oking te mp erature.
Using the lighting stick to light the sid e burner
1. O p en lid while lighting the b urner.
Lid must remain o p en while b urner is lit.
2. Remove th e lighting stick then insert
a match into th e end o f lighting stick.
3. Light the match.
4. O n ce lit, pla ce the flame to re a ch the
burner p o rts. (Se e diagram.)
5. Press the co ntrol kno b an d rotate it co unt
er-clo ck wise to th e H IG H p ositio n. The
burner sho uld light imme diate ly.
6. Adjust b urner to the d esire d
co o king temp erature.
7. Co nfirm th at the b urner is p ro p erly lit an d th at the flame p at tern is as d esire d
(s e e Fig. A, B an d C b e l ow fo r p ro p e r f l am e p at t erns). I f t h e f l am e p at t ern is
other than normal, co nsult the “Tro uble sho oting” se ctio n o n p age 38
fo r co rre ctive a ction.
